BERKSHIRE FAMILY HOME

A full transformation of a family home — balancing contemporary design and craftsmanship

PROJECT TITLE: Berkshire Family Home

LOCATION: Berkshire

COMPLETION DATE: July, 2025

PROJECT TYPE: Renovation & Extension

A complete renovation of a family home in Berkshire delivered in under 10 months. We combined thoughtful design, practical reconfiguration and high-quality detailing to create a functional, modern family home for our clients.

This project involved the full renovation and extension of a dated property in Berkshire.
Working alongside Absolute Architecture and their interior design team, the brief was to create a home that worked better for modern family life improving layout, performance and character.

DESIGN AND APPROACH

The house was stripped back to brick, allowing for a complete internal reconfiguration and the addition of a new double garage extension. The reworked layout introduced open, connected living spaces with distinct zones for work and relaxation.

Every stage was planned around precision delivery — from sequencing and procurement to trade coordination and quality control.
The result: a clean, cohesive build that delivered on both design intent and programme.

Every element was coordinated, detailed and delivered to match the ambition of the design.

SITE CONSIDERATIONS AND PLANNING CONSTRAINTS

The project required careful management of site and environmental challenges:

  • No-dig zone: Special foundations to protect existing tree roots and local ecology.

  • Restricted access: Private road access managed through tight scheduling and communication with neighbours and suppliers.

  • Sustainability focus: Prioritised efficient systems and low-impact materials throughout.

Coordination and planning were key — detail and sequencing made the difference.
